USA Cycling is committed to helping your club succeed and will be delivering a monthly update with educational resources, stories of success from clubs across the country, information about upcoming webinars and events, a single-question poll (with results published the following month), and updates from USA Cycling staff.
We hope you enjoy this new digital publication, and we look forward to working with our network of clubs to develop resources and information for inclusion in future issues. If you have suggestions for resources, poll topics, or feature stories, please send them to our Member Services team at membership@usacycling.org.

Start the year off right! We’ve pulled together a short checklist to make sure your club is set up for success in 2023.
Club Spotlight
With a record-breaking 130+ entries from current and former members, parents, coaches, and spectators, the competition was stiff for the 2022 Club of the Year crown. Most people that participate in the sport of cycling have found mentorship and support through a team or club. Decorum is taught on coffee rides, and traditions are passed down as people from different walks of life come together to pedal. Clubs serve to develop skills on the bike as well as create community. A 5-person committee reviewed nominations submitted by clubs and their community members to award the 2022 Club of the Year winners. Clubs won their respective categories for demonstrating outstanding contributions to their community, along with improvements in their individual athletes, and overall club performance.

Meet the Staff: Parker
In all likelihood, you probably have received an email from me helping you troubleshoot your account, but I would like to introduce myself. My name is Parker Ohlmann, Member Services Manager. I'm committed to helping members and clubs have enriching and rewarding experiences. What follows is my ethos for the program. It's not just a club. I see clubs as something more, no matter your club's makeup, there was a reason that the club you started or a club that you now help exists. Collectively I want the USA Cycling Clubs program to be there to support your clubs' founding reasons to exist, but I also want us to collectively strive towards building cycling communities that are safe, fun, and locally accessible for a vibrant community of racers, enthusiasts, and supporters of our sport that we all love. In this context, I define community as a diverse group of interacting participants achieving unity in an unremitting quest for cycling progress.
A bit about me... I grew up in Glen Ellyn, Ill., watching my uncle Steve Tilford race bikes. I then carried my passion for bikes to college, starting a collegiate cycling club at The College of Wooster. It was also during my freshmen year that I joined my local shop club, Ride on Wooster. I’ve been hooked ever since.
