COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Ten U.S. cyclists representing two USA Cycling Talent ID Camps are set to race in the 2018 Junior Tour of Ireland. Five riders from the 2018 New England Regional Talent ID Camp were selected from their respective camps and will race as the “USA Cycling Talent ID East” team, and five riders from the USA Cycling West Coast Talent ID Camp will be on the line as “USA Cycling West.” The six-day stage race will travel more than 300 miles from July 10-15, 2018, in Ennis, County Clare, along the western coast of Ireland.
“With riders from all over the country, it is a true representation of the USA and USA Cycling and we look forward to having a great racing experience in Ireland,” said New England Regional Talent ID Camp Manager Kyle Wolfe of Brattleboro, Vt. Wolfe, and Joe Strandell (San Jose, CA), both USA Cycling Level 1 coaches, will accompany the squads to Ireland as serve as team directors for the East and West teams, respectively.
