USA Cycling announced today the calendar for the 2021 Pro Cross-Country Tour (ProXCT). Cross-country mountain bikers will have the chance to compete in these internationally ranked races spanning short track, cross-country, and marathon mountain bike racing.
The ProXCT is comprised of the top mountain bike events in the U.S. and track the standings for elite riders. Most events will also have amateur categories providing an environment for amateurs to race the same courses as our Olympians. Individual elite series champions are crowned at the conclusion of the calendar.
The ProXCT shakes up in 2021 and kicks off with the familiar Vail Lake on March 14, 2021, with the U.S. Cup, and then heads to a new venue in Fayetteville, AR for two weekends. Returning in 2021 there will be a stop in Midway, UT at the familiar Soldier Hollow and then a new stop in Fall River, Wisc. at the Englewood Open for fast and bumpy elite and junior racing. The second half of the ProXCT returns to Monterey for a day of racing at Sea Otter Classic, then over to Missoula for elite and junior racing, and ends with a high-altitude marathon race in Telluride, CO.
